We, all the members present here, express shock and concern over devastating fire resulting a huge number of casualties at AMRI Hospital in Kolkata on 09.12.2011. Our deep sympathy is to the members of the bereaved families and we pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls and wish early and speedy recovery of the injured people.

With these words, we express our heartfelt condolences and may I request you all to observe a two minutes silence as mark of respect and sympathy for the departed soul.

Interactive Session with the Ambassador of El Salvador

June 22, 2011: Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Indian Board of Alternative Medicine was invited at an Interactive Session with the ambassador of Republic of El Salvador to India, Dr Ruben Ignacio Zamora Rivas organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce at ICC Tower.

Speaking at an interactive session fielded by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata on Wednesday, the ambassador of El Salvador to India, Dr Ruben Ignacio Zamora Rivas said that the nation can open up the vast markets in Guatemela, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, besides being an ideal hub for access to the US and European markets.

ICC director general, Dr Rajeev Singh, offered all assistance to Indian entrepreneurs keen to do business in El Salvador and strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries. The interactive session was also addressed by the honorary consul of El Salvador in Calcutta, Sharad K. Khaitan.

Dr. Siddharth M. Jondhale, the young Homoeopathic Doctor hailing from Nanded, Maharashtra (located in the Western part of India) working judiciously for the cure of the disease HIV, has been selected for the Albert Schweitzer Award, one of the Highest International Honours, for his noteworthy contribution towards promotion of Peace through Health and Healing to patients suffering from AIDS.

Dr. Siddharth, a Ph.D. from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, D.Sc. from the Trinity World University and D.Litt. from the New Age International University is a highly learned academician, professional and leader.

He was honoured with the International Hahnemann Award earlier this year on the 23rd of January, 2011 awarded by the International Homeopathic Medical Foundation at its International Seminar and Awards Presentation Ceremony.

From IBAM to Japan Government “Condolence Message”

“IBAM family is shocked by the news of terrifying and destructive sweep of tsunami provoked by massive earth quake in the pacific region including Japan. On behalf of IBAM, the President, Dr. S. K. Agarwal expressed his deep sympathy towards the victims of the catastrophe and prayed to the almighty for the speedy recovery of the situation to normalcy”.
On 18^th of March 2011, this condolence message was registered in the condolence message book, kept in the office of the Council General of Japan in Kolkata.
Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President, Indian Board of Alternative Medicines was present at the launching ceremony of the inaugural issue of “Education Charter” – a quarterly journal dedicated for higher education being published by CCLP Worldwide – an International Civil Society Organization. Dr. Vikrant Singh, Dr. Vinod Singh, Lion L. P. Jain, Dr. Nalini Gupta and a host of other dignitaries were present at the Oxford Book Store where this program was organized on Saturday, Oct., 9^th, 2010.

Participation of Prof. (Dr.) Sohan Raj Tater in First Asian Philosophy Congress, New Delhi

Jodhpur 10 March, 2010, Prof. (Dr.) Sohan Raj Tater chaired session of “JAINISM” (Conducted for 2 Hrs.) in First Asian Philosophy Congress held at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi organized by I.C.P.R. (Under HRD Ministry, Govt. of India). In this session of Jainism 16 Scholars from whole of India presented their Research papers including nuns of Jain Vishava Bharati University, Ladnun (Raj.). Scholars who were present there around Asia appreciated and shown keen interest in this session.
In the same Congress Prof. (Dr.) Sohan Raj Tater presented his research paper on subject “Concept of Prama in Jainism” as chief speaker in Round Table Conference organized by Akhil Bhartiya Darshan Parishad (Established since year 1954). In this session three more scholars also presented their Research paper on subject “Concept of Prama in Indian Philosophies”. The scholars around Asia who were present in the session showed great interest and curiocity in the topic.
